One-On-One Multimedia Bass Lessons

Lesson 6

In Lesson Six

I use the my old teacher, Pebber Brown's alternate two octave vertical fingering for Major scales to run up the neck.
The run uses a repeating 1 - 3 - 4 finger pattern and a 1st finger slide which is analyzed in Lesson Six.
Notice when the scale is run in all 12 keys, that in the keys of C, D and Eb, the final pattern is repeated on the top string.
The most effective use of this pattern is with scales beginning on the bottom string, or strings if your using a 5-string.
